Hey guys and welcome to Fit Tip Friday,
Todays question is - What are my thoughts on eating 4 to 6 meals a day to build muscle, as it is a common belief in the industry?
This is a really interesting topic and the answer can be either very complicated or very simple.
At the end of the day, if your overall nutrition isn't on point then it doesn't matter if you eat 10 meals a day or 1 meal a day, you won't progress if your body isn't getting what it needs.
That being said, given the correct nutrition, there is absolutely a benefit to eating more frequently than 3 times a day, but not much benefit to exceeding 6 meals a day, meaning optimal is very likely somewhere between 4 and 6 meals per day.
Experiment with this and see how it fits into your lifestyle - but only if you're already nailing the basics of your nutrition.
