2023-03-15 Xiao Qi Ji ~ Momma in the Tub, Daddy all about the Rub

#PandaStory: Pandaland delights when Xiao Qi Ji, momma Mei Xiang and daddy Tian Tian are enriched, engaged, and enjoying themselves.

Part 1 of the video is from yesterday, starting of with Tian Tian and Qi Ji meeting up at the Howdy Window. Then we see Tian Tian anointing himself, rubbing himself against the trees in yard 1, and climbing higher, repositioning himself to scent mark even higher! Amazing to watch when you consider he will be 26 years old this year!

Then Qi Ji was getting treats from the window in the bedroom, later getting sugar cane, an apple, and carrots from his keepers. Tian Tian also received the same treat package and they sat back to back enjoying their feast. And later after he was in for the day around 2:15pm Qi Ji received a fruitie, I suspect because he was unsettled and/or possibly unhappy with his bamboo selection. While it's not his nursing song, occasionally you can hear the sound of slurping and licking.

Tian Tian sleeping in the hammock was from last Sunday, too sweet not to share.

Part 2 around the 7:28 mark from today: Before heading out this morning late (well after 8am), Qi Ji was kept occupied with treats and bamboo, including a feeder delivered in the bedroom. Later momma Mei was seen in the sunshine eating from a treat feeder. And yet another treat feeder for Qi Ji ~ our growing boy is consuming a lot of food these days, (and getting a lot of attention from his keepers)!

And then it was delightful to see our beloved momma Mei Xiang relaxing and enjoying anointing herself in the extra large tub! And Qi Ji is all about the hammock these days, playing on the structure and rolling around with the logs, after which he went indoors to the pool, racing back outside to climb on the tp structure, scooping up his blue "bowl" and carrying it out of camera view! When the camera found him he was eating bamboo sitting in the pool. Then a view of a relaxed Mei Xiang resting on the log in yard 3/4. And back to Qi Ji on the hammock.

Indoors he enjoyed the yellow donut which appeared to have honey slathered on it. Much later he was caught taking his midafternoon nap in the nesting circles ... look at those teeth!
