Radio Mode - Sound Settings

Here’s how to adjust the Sound Settings on Kia Connect with Navigation.

From the infotainment system Home screen, swipe left to ALL MENUS…
Select SETUP…
then SOUND.
These settings let you adjust:
Premium Sound …
Position …
Tone ...
Guidance …
Active Sound Design …
Radio Noise…
Driver Assistance …
And Connected Devices.

Select Kia models have Premium Sound features:
SPEED DEPENDENT VOLUME CONTROL automatically adjusts the volume of the music based on vehicle speed.
START-UP VOLUME LIMIT controls the volume when you start your Kia.
POSITION lets you direct the position from where the sound is emanating.
By selecting the desired areas of the image on the left or the arrow buttons on the right, you can fine-tune the position of the sound.
To reset the sound to the center of the vehicle, select the “target” button in the center of the arrows.
TONE allows you to adjust the levels for treble, midrange, and bass.
GUIDANCE lets you configure the sound settings for the Navigation system, so a specific sound is more audible over other sounds.
You can set the Guidance Volumes …
and the Navigation Alert.
With the NAVIGATION GUIDANCE DURING CALLS setting, you can set it so navigation guidance commands are heard even during a call.
And NAVIGATION VOLUME PRIORITY means that media volume will be lowered during Navigation guidance announcements.
You can also mute Navigation Guidance and adjust the Welcome Sound.
You can also control the ACTIVE SOUND DESIGN feature that allows you to modify the engine sound heard inside the vehicle.

RADIO NOISE adjusts the amount of noise reduction for reduced background noise.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE allows you to set the warning volume and warning sound priorities for the Driver Assistance Systems.

CONNECTED DEVICES sets the volume for each function of your device when using Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
