WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO& APPLE CARPLAY

Select Kia models are available with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
In this video, we will show you how get your wireless connection setup.
The system requires a compatible Android Phone that supports Android Auto Wireless …
Or an Apple iPhone that supports Apple CarPlay Wireless.
Data and wireless plans are also required for applicable features.
Your phone can already be paired via Bluetooth Wireless Technology.
And make sure your phone’s software is updated.
The phone setup is basically the same for both Android phones and Apple iPhones.
From the HOME screen on your audio system, press ALL MENUS …
Then press SETUP …
WI-FI …
[And select USE WI-FI FOR PHONE PROJECTION]
[And select PHONE PROJECTION]
To pair your smartphone with your system, press ALL MENUS …
SETUP …
DEVICE CONNECTIONS …
Then PHONE PROJECTION…
If your smartphone is not already connected via Bluetooth, press ADD NEW.
If it is connected, press CONNECT
On your smartphone, make sure Bluetooth Wireless Technology is turned on …
On iPhones, Siri also has to be active.
Search for your vehicle’s system on the phone’s Bluetooth devices list …
Then select it.
Ensure that the Bluetooth passkeys displayed on the smartphone screen and the system screen are the same, and confirm the connection from the smartphone.
Review and accept the notifications to continue the connection. Your smartphone should be connected to the system.
Now, just select the Android Auto or Apple CarPlay icon from the HOME screen …and you’ll see the supported apps on the audio system screen.
Please note that some audio systems only support a USB cable connection for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Also note that the Wireless Android Auto only works for certain Android models.
Use the manufacturer’s USB cable when the wireless feature is not available.
