DAY 18 of 30 in my new series "30 Eighties Metal Riffs In 30 Days"

Today's riff features none other than Kiss from their 1985 album Asylum and the song "Tears Are Falling."

Great song and fun riff. Tuning is interesting, as described in video, but I'm playing this in Eb tuning so tune down 1/2 step if you want to play along.

The guitarist during this era of Kiss was Bruce Kulick. Bruce has some great chops and played a killer solo on this tune, but the riff is equally cool. This line up also featured the late great Eric Carr on drums (RIP) in addition to Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley. No more make up for this era but certainly still flamboyant!
