Chris Impellitteri is a legendary guitar shred virtuoso who formed the band 'Impellitteri' back in the 80's. The band's debut EP came out in 1987. Vocalist Rob Rock was the original singer for the band but was replaced on the 1988 album Stand In Line by Graham Bonnet. Although Graham would come back for a later album, it has been Rob Rock at the mic for the majority of Impellitteri's albums.

Chris has amazing technique and is one of the most aggressive pickers I've ever heard. He's fast beyond belief. But an under appreciated aspect of his playing, in my opinion, is his fantastic rhythm guitar work. He has created some amazing riffs!

In this video we'll be taking a closer look at 6 of his best riffs from the first few albums. They are:

5) Answer To The Master
6) Kingdom Of Light

All but "Burning" are tuned down to Eb tuning (1/2 step down).
