MIQUEL BROWN So Many Men ALMIGHTY REMIX Happy Mardi Gras 2019

A very happy Mardi Gras to my fellow brothers, sisters and gender queer LGBTQI folks who are celebrating the Mardi Gras parade and parties this weekend in Sydney. I've used the 1983 gay anthem 'So Many Men So Little Time' and a muscular vibey Almighty remix and unapologetically ripped some footage of some ok looking dudes doing their shtick to flesh out this 'camp to the extreme' hit and create this clip myself. It is 36 years exactly since I came out as a gay man and this song was playing in the clubs that year so it has special resonance for me, even though the song is outrageously out there, which i have never been but it is such a wonderfully catchy and empowering anthem that I couldn't resist using it to mark the occasion. The Sydney Mardi Gras began 41 years ago as a protest rally and has evolved into a phenomenon; a celebration of being LGBTQ and bringing thousands of tourists from all over the world and people lining the streets to get a glimpse of the fabulous floats and participants strutting their stuff. I too have taken part in the parade back in the 1980's and it is an unforgettable and life changing experience.

Miquel Brown is a Canadian born singer/actress who crossed paths with music wunderkinds: British Ian Levine and Irish Fiachra Trench and the hit 'So Many Men So Little Time'; was issued in 1983 and has become a signature hit and gay anthem. Miquel is also known for being the mother of British pop queen Sinitta and also related to Amii Stewart of 'Knock On Wood' fame - so gay icons all around! I had Miquel's two long players 'Man Power' and 'Close to Perfection' in the 1980's and they still get me moving and motivated 35 years later. Queer Power!!!!!
