Elvis Presley - Catchin' On Fast - Movie Version - Re-edited with Stereo Audio

The soundtrack for his 1964 movie “Kissin’ Cousins” required Elvis to record ten songs, a couple of which required more than one version. From these ten, only one did not make it into the movie, “Anyone (Could Fall In Love With You), although it did make it onto the soundtrack album.
Elvis recorded all of the songs in one a single day of recording at the MGM sound stage in Hollywood on 10 October 1963. These were all vocal overdubs by Elvis to backing tracks pre-recorded on 29 and 30 September at RCA’s studio B in Nashville.
From the ten songs recorded by Elvis for the movie, “Catchin’ On Fast” would be the shortest master at just one minute and twenty three seconds. However, this was due to edits done by RCA which consisted of removing a verse and cutting the ending. Testament to this is the fact that the unedited master, which was the fourth of four takes, is actually one minute and fifty eight seconds – a considerable difference!

As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
