Elvis Presley - Take Me To The Fair - HD Movie version, re-edited with Stereo audio

One of the issues that consistently appear in critical reviews Elvis' 1963 movie "It Happened at the World's Fair", is the overly cuteness of Sue-Lin, played by his child co-star Vicky Tui which seems to reinforce the old adage about the hazards of acting with children or animals. The song which can be heard almost immediately after the meeting of the two characters, "Take Me To The Fair" suffers from this, as according to many critical reviews, it becomes almost covered in a sickly overload of the aforementioned cuteness.

It is not a bad song entirely with a decent melody and a good idea to move the story forward with it's use as a travelling song but it seems to be the ukulele references before and after the song which is the main problem.

"Take Me To The Fair" was the final song to be recorded for the movie. Elvis recorded the song on 22 September 1962 at Radio Recorders' studio B in Hollywood, the last of eight recorded at that particular session. The eighth and final take was chosen as the RCA master but it would undergo some overdubs on 16 October, mainly consisting of a ukulele played by Billy Strange, before it was ready for insertion into the movie.

As with all of these videos, to get the most out of the re-edited audio, I highly recommend you use ear /headphones and turn the volume up as much as you dare!
