Elvis Presley - Speedway - Movie opening credits version - Re-edited with Stereo audio

In Elvis' 1967 movie "Speedway", he was cast as a race car driver for the third time in as many years adding weight to the argument that his movies at this point were somewhat formulaic.

Elvis recorded the title track on 20 June 1967 at the MGM sound stage in Hollywood, with the fourth and final take chosen for inclusion in the moviie and as the RCA master. Before insertion in the movie it underwent an edit to either end of the song which reduced the running time by twenty four seconds from two minutes and twelve seconds to one minute and forty eight.
