The solo in question is Journey's "Send Her My Love" by guitarist Neal Schon from 1983's Frontiers record.

Schon puts on a masterclass here in melody, note choice, vibrato, bending and phrasing. The guitar just SINGS, like many of his solos. Neal is the perfect example of a rock guitarist who has chops but always plays for the song.
