Happy Diwali Gulab Jamun Recipe + India Highlights!

Happy Diwali Everyone!

Having recently traveled to India, I was inspired to make a dessert that I quite enjoyed while I was there: Gulab Jamun!

Gulab Jamun is a confectionery made of milk and flour, deep fried, and soaked in a syrup perfumed with saffron, cardamom, and rosewater!

Here is the recipe!

2/3 cups milk powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. ghee
milk
oil for frying
For the syrup:

2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups water
pinch saffron
3 cardamom pods
1 tsp rosewater
1 tsp lemon juice
