Louis Lasarte, 'Soleado' (Ciro Dammicco)

Louis Lasarte was a Spanish born and German naturalized trumpeter, known for his mellow tone and stunning high register.

'Soleado' ('Tears Don't Lie') is an instrumental / vocal piece of music written by the Italian composer, arranger, singer, pianist, television producer and film producer Ciro Dammicco (1947), also known under the pseudonym of Zacar. Based on his earlier composition 'Le Rose Blu' (1972), the song was recorded in 1974 by Dammico's band, the 'Daniel Sentacruz Ensemble', and presented at that year's edition of Festivalbar. It became an instant hit, selling over five million copies in Europe.

Recorded in the album 'Romantic Trumpet' (1980).
