Andrea Giuffredi, 'A Fistful of Dollars' (Ennio Morricone)

Andrea Giuffredi (1965) is an Italian trumpeter, composer, arranger and educator. He is heralded worldwide as a once-in-a-lifetime virtuoso trumpet artist - truly one of the finest and most versatile performers on stage today.

'A Fistful of Dollars' (1964) is a Spaghetti Western film directed by the Italian film director, producer and screenwriter Sergio Leone (1929-1989). He is credited as the creator of the Spaghetti Western genre and widely regarded as one of the most influential directors in the history of cinema. The film is starred by Clint Eastwood (1930) in his first leading role.

Ennio Morricone (1928-2020) was an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor and trumpeter who wrote music in a wide range of styles. With more than 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as more than 100 classical works, Morricone is widely considered one of the greatest film composers of all time.

Some of the music was written before the film, which is unusual. Leone's films were made like that because he wanted the music to be an important part of it, and he often kept the scenes longer, simply because he didn't want the music to end... That's why the films are so slow - because of the music.

Recorded in the album 'Cuore & Passione' ('Heart & Passion' - 2018).
