Back to Wall Low Reach
Back to Wall Low Reach
1. Maintain stacked position of pelvis and thorax
2. Maintain foot contacts and weight distribution in the heels
3. Push through heels and slide up wall to end
Some reasons to include this activity:
1. Improve posterior expansion of the rib cage. Due to the reach occurring below shoulder level, this activity biases posterior lower expansion of the thorax.
2. Improve ability to stack pelvis and thorax. The wall in this exercise acts as a reference for a back that is not arched at the lower spine. This enhances the ability to feel a reduced lordotic curve necessary to achieve a stacked position of the pelvis and thorax.
