Injury prevention is so important for kids, especially when they are in the pre-teen years and sport is getting more competitive. There following routine is a great set of warm-up drills for kids that you can put at the start of a training session or game, that work both on warm for up the legs, knees and ankles (as well as the brain and neural pathways!) plus improve knee control and agility and identify weaknesses. These components are important to build a stronger and more agile child and help prevent future injuries in training and games.

This routine works across multiple grass and courts sports like Soccer / Football, Rugby, League, AFL, NFL, Hockey, Tennis, Basketball, Netball etc. All the sports that involve change direction, running, jumping and agility.

Muscle Activation Warm-up Section:
1️⃣ A-Skips
2️⃣ Hamstring Flicks
3️⃣ Side Skips
4️⃣ Grapevines

Agility and Control Section:
1️⃣ Ladders Side Steps
2️⃣ Hurdle Bounding
3️⃣ Cone 'Schimmies'
4️⃣ Cone Side Steps
