The winners of the dance contest will be couple #1, Steven Rice and Linda Gibson. Steven‘s twin brother Sterling came in 2nd last year. Steven and Sterling went on to record a few songs in the late 70’s and early 80’s including the theme song to the TV show “Dance Fever”. Thanks to the sharp memory of @Keith Idota we also know that Reggie Jester from couple #5 will win the ’71 dance contest. Part 2

In May 1970 - 4 students were killed at Kent State University by Ohio National Guardsmen during a protest of the Vietnam War (May 4). The NY Knicks beat the LA Lakers to win the NBA Finals (May 8). The movie “M*A*S*H” won the Cannes Film Festival (May 16). The Beatles released their final album, “Let It Be” in the U.S. (May 18).
