The Chicago Cultural Center is one of the gems in the cities downtown. It opened in 1897 as the cities main library as well as the meeting hall of Grand Army Of The Republic meeting hall. With the opening of the Harold Washington Center a few blocks away the building began hosting cultural events ergo the name. Anyway it's well worth checking out.
