Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #170 in 4K: Adding The Double Tees - 06/16/21 (5:00pm | 96°F)

-Hey guys, it’s Randy! Today’s video shows some major updates in the GigaPress area with Double Tees being installed as well as other general updates around the main site. I also make the trip across the highway to get an updated look at the progress taking place on that side.

Here are today’s key takeaways:
-The GigaPress area shows 2 horizontal cross beams installed and the first full row of Double Tees consisting of 7 sectional pieces have also been installed today! We can see several more sets of Double Tees in the area so there’s a strong likelihood these will be installed by end of day Thursday and this entire section for this type of work is definitely speeding along much faster than when we previously saw it on the site.
-On the east side of the BIW area near the GigaPress end, I captured this being delivered. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get much closer but this is about as close as I could zoom in on a still image and it actually looks like a module consisting of a robot in a box. Please leave a comment on what you guys think it could be or what it could possibly be a part of if you have any ideas.
-Further south, we get a better look at the area just east of where the Stamping and BIW buildings meet where a new road looks to be going in.
There looks to be work taking place in the detention pond furthest south and closest to the highway bridge where they are possibly regrading it since it is still in pretty rough shape after the string of storms we had not too long ago.
-Next, we see an updated progress shot of the structural steel getting closer to the angled corner.
-The underground stormwater detention system now shows concrete all over the place and the mud slab that was at the top right we saw yesterday now has a column formed and concrete poured on it. At the top center of the image, we see 4 new footings that were not present yesterday have also been dug and have the initial concrete pad poured in the center of them.
-Across the highway, we get a better look at the work being done on the road that will provide access to both sides. We also get a glimpse here of another neatly shaped detention pond by the looks of it. Closer to the bridge we see newly laid rolls of geotextile fabric extending the road directly underneath the lanes of the highway!
-The large hill excavation is still in progress and the tops of most of the hills have been scraped and flattened at this point.
-Finally, we wrap up looking back towards the main site and see that most of the activity around the large foundation that’s been prepped on this side looks to be done for the time being as they probably are concentrating on other areas of this side since the main work here looks finished.
