Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #65 in 4K: Structure Build Speed Increasing - 11/30/20 (5:15pm)

Hey guys, Randy here! In today’s video, we can see some significant increases in the speed in which the large structures are going up in both the north and south ends. I arrived about 20-30 minutes later than usual and cranes were still working on both ends of the site. There was still a good presence of crews scattered about the site that you could tell were going to be there well after sunset. With mostly GeoPier work taking place over the weekend after the holiday, it’s quite the uptick to see where we are by Monday evening with the changes shown today!

Here are today’s key takeaways:
- On the north end, we see that another section has been added to both the lower and upper levels of the steel structure. Steel decking now covers 4 sections of the lower level, 2 full sections of trusses are now in place atop the upper levels, and there is steel decking even atop this upper section that is placed for spreading out soon.
- On the west side, besides GeoPier work, crews are digging out a large trench that is along the edge of the factory foundation outline. Could this be the start of work on some defined foundation edges that could be poured soon? Could it be for utilities? Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
- The south end shows a flurry of activity as we can see that more of the footings for the large columns are currently getting formwork either added or removed, depending on if they have gotten concrete poured or not. The star of the show is the installation of another side beam running north to south on the west side of the column structure and 2 more of the large cross beams that now complete what is currently the first full width section of the large concrete columns running from east to west. There will be many more of these installed above this section, so it’s exciting to see both of these installed in one day!
