Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #197 in 4K: Joining The SW East & West Sides 08/12/21 (5:30pm | 97°F)

Hey everyone, it’s Randy! Today’s video shows yet another major milestone, this time it’s the paved road coming from FM973 on the west side actually reaching the SH130 bridge, so we now officially have paved roads that join both sides of the massive Tesla property in this corner. We’ll see a few more details related to this in a bit when we see the video footage and like always, there are lots of other great updates to see.

Here are today’s key takeaways:
-The north end shows the space frame structure being assembled still underway as it grows in size.
-The BIW east-facing stairwell on the southern end shows the installation has made it to the top floor and it looks like just the roof access remains.
-The southern gap shows the progress of the big dig area as it looks to have about 60% of the outlined area excavated. Just south of here, we can see one of the large cranes being disassembled as well as another one on the other side of the SW corner.
-Speaking of the southwest corner, the structural steel installation is completed as we mentioned yesterday and we can actually see the last remaining beam on the ground north of the blue trailers, so it’s looking like they were just waiting until Friday for the topping out ceremony.
-A quick look over at the bridge area shows the road coming east from FM 973 has reached the bridge and we can see the first paved section of the westbound road beneath the bridge as well. There’s also a large trench to run electrical conduit beneath the road east of this as we head back towards the factory along the road and we can next see framing and rebar already in place for a large section of road that will be poured concrete just west of the detention pond.
-The GA west side shows workers removing the test window panes that have been set up for months now and more importantly, wall panel installation has resumed on the GA section heading south!
-The work to address the water issue next to the BCP building shows some type of cistern being put into place and we can see a cap for it in the frame as well while they continue to address the issue. The wall panel progress on the angled corner is well past the 50% mark and we can see new trenches for conduit and fiber lines across the berm area and the far left part of the frame north of the building running from east to west.
-The northern gap shows the continued progress of the structural steel assembly and they look to be speeding up on this end compared to the previous pace.
