Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #186 in 4K: Loading Docks or Charging Lot - 07/21/21 (5:00pm | 91°F)

Welcome back guys, it’s Randy! Today’s video shows the continued progress on the areas covered in yesterday’s video. The next several stacks of windows have arrived for installation on the east side and major progress with road paving on the west side are a couple of things that really stand out. Let’s not forget all of the things happening in between as well.

Here are today’s key takeaways:
-Many of you have been wondering what the exact height of the building is, so at the start of the video I roughly eyeballed lining up with the top of the Double Tees in the northeast corner and noted the height of the drone, which was at 13 meters or almost 43 feet high. As for the progress of the roof in this area, we can see that all of the Double Tees have now been installed.
-Seven stacks of windows have been delivered to the southernmost point where the windows stop on the east-facing side of the BIW building and installation will most likely resume on Thursday.
-The southwest corner shows the daily look at the progress of the structural steel.
-On the west side of the GA building, we see more trenches in the area south of the concrete slab that was poured for the loading docks and these are also being used to run conduit that line up directly with what we see exposed on the paved asphalt section at the very top of the image, which we’ll get to in a moment. Here’s a closer look at the initial conduit that has roughly been laid for the time being. Further north at the concrete slab, we can see that expansion joints have been cut to help prevent cracking. As we continue north, we now see that the paved asphalt has been marked and lined for parking spaces and the conduit that has been run previously is directly on the north-to-south line shared between adjacent spaces as well as at all of the current and future spaces closest to the building. We can even see at the bottom of the image that more spaces are likely to be added once the paving is completed, which then begs the question, “Is this actually some sort of charging lot?” because that seems like an awful lot of conduit for just lighting. There are additional marked spaces north of this that do not have the conduit present, which further fuels my suspicion that what we just saw is the start of a large charging lot of some sort and I suspect they might be planning to pave this entire area that was widened to accommodate the marked spaces further south so that through traffic can pass them.
-The northwest corner again shows paving actively taking place next to the BCP building and it looks like we can see the first efforts of work being done to prep the path of the road that will run along the angled corner as well.
-The southern gap shows a quick update on the structural steel being used to fill in this section and at the northern gap, we can see they have started erecting steel on the footings that run down the middle of the gap, starting at the end nearest the Retox System.
