When you Lose Passion to Calisthenics | My Story & Advice

So your training doesn't excite you anymore? You lost motivation? Calisthenics... handstand, planche, front lever, things that used to wake you up in the middle of the night start getting unworthy of chasing. You have to understand one thing, In live of every person heavily involved in some activity. There come moments during which the thing we used to be so passionate about start losing its magic. Physical training and fitness goals in general may seem not to be as relatable in this sense. They are the ones people very often set as an act of metamorphosis where its not that much about this particular goal but the fact we take action in order to make positive changes. Because of this major component of begginer population, people who are new to physical activity and have just started to create their habits. We associate a lack of drive and passion with being lazy and unproductive, with excuses and failed resolutions. Today I want to bring light on a bit different situation that is not very often being touched upon. People who dedicated years to their fitness game, who were developing their craft, grinding out consistently and achieved an objectively high level. People whose big part of life was physical training for several years, until something just snapped. Thats exactly what happened to me about 6 months ago, and over this tough period i've been trying many things to regain my passion. The tricky part about it is, deep down you still love what you have been doing, but simultanously just don't see the point, the purpose. And because you have been part of this world for such a long time, things that have made you start your journey like new elements or better appearance seem not to be that exciting anymore. Everything happens at much slower pace when you are more advanced and unlike begginer, you are aware of your barrers. On top of that the hunger of getting these things may be supressed by the fact you are probably comfortable with your fitness level at this stage. So you know how much effort is required to make progress especially now, plus you already represent a respectable level which may cause the urge of improvement to be exigous. Today Im gonna share with you a bit of my story and give you a couple of tips and strategies that just recently have helped me overcome this what i call training rut, and finally regain the drive and passion to my calisthenics training. They will include things like recording your sets, having training journal and writing down training numbers and lot more. Enjoy!

RE-USED CONTENT:
Video of Alan Thrall presenting the recovery jug was removed by Alan during the time i was making this video. I used this little part of it as a visualisation of the topic, only as a backround and not to promote any idea this video had as a goal (that is probably a reason for removing it).
