Post-Workout Full-Body Static Stretch Routine

Here’s a full-body static stretch routine that’s perfect post-workout or anytime you need to stretch. I spend the last 10 minutes of every online training session in static stretches just like these.

After your workout, your muscles are warm and pliable making this the perfect time to work on increasing your range of motion. Even more importantly, static stretching is how your body cools down after the workout. You are relaxing your nervous system with these stretches and with slow breaths in and out through the nose. This cool-down is how you transition out of the “fight or flight” state you were in during your workout.

Remember to always static stretch after your workout for 5-10 minutes.
