2021-01-31 Xiao Qi Ji ~ Snow Day, All Pandas Play!

Day 163 #PandaStory: Lots packed into this video including daddy Tian Tian and momma Mei Xiang sliding and rolling in the snow today! Also, it looked like Xiao Qi Ji may have gotten his first whiff of snow on his den toy, the puck.

My goal is to give you highlights during a 24 hour period. This video starts with the 1st of 3 nursing bouts. Mei Xiang bleated around 6:20pm and then went and sat in front of the rockwork eating bamboo. When Qi Ji makes his way out, she moves to the playpen with him hot on her heels. Then there is a brief play bout in the den ~ you can see why Mei has shown she is done with the "den" (she's defecated in there 3 times this past week) as it's quite cramped in there when they're playing. Now to her it's just like any other area in their indoor accommodations.

Around 3:30am Mei is sleeping near the playpen while Qi Ji sleeps ... when she joins him, he wakes up and wants to nurse again. Then another play bout, followed by some "follow-the-leader", but Qi Ji decides to walk on his hind legs along the wall before his first of 3 morning climbs up room 3's rockwork. Then it's time to sleep in the den.

Meanwhile, we first see 2 scenes of Tian Tian playing and rolling in the snow, and one of him looking through a 2nd howdy screen. And then it's momma Mei Xiang's turn to slide down the hill outdoors! Then Qi Ji is seen in the den playing with the puck, and maybe it had some snow on it? Very hard to tell.

Another play bout occurs around 1:45pm just outside the den door. After which Qi Ji joins Mei Xiang out in room 3. He must have indicated his was hungry as we see another nursing bout. Mei Xiang then heads up the rockwork to eat some bamboo, and Qi Ji joins her. She leaves him, and he once again finds his way down.

PS: We've been notified by our internet provider that there will be at least a 4 hour outage tomorrow, so we'll see what tomorrow brings!
