2021-01-30 Xiao Qi Ji ~ Our Jolly, Jubilant, Joyful Cub!

Day 162 #PandaStory: This video shows Xiao Qi Ji playing with his Jolly ball, as well as the Jubilant success of getting down room 3's rockwork by himself (No Falls in today's video), and the Joy of watching Mei Xiang and Xiao Qi Ji bond through nursing, playing and teaching Qi Ji to be a bear!

Friday afternoon was interesting ~ except to come out and nurse, Xiao Qi Ji stayed in the den. Mei would entice him out or bleat or enter the den to nibble on him, but he'd either stay put or scurry back to the den after a brief time. Finally around 11:20pm she went in and scruffed him out to the playpen. That's where this video picks up ~ after a whole lot of nibbling, and then some play, he nursed (he's only nursing 1 or 2 times a day, so it's always sweet to see).

Fast forward to the early morning hours, and Qi Ji had one thing on his mind ... climbing room 3's rockwork! Since his newfound discovery of being able to get up there easily, he repeated the feat 5 times today ... and no falls, and he even got down by himself one time (this happened around 1pm! But Mei Xiang still has a lot to say about him being up there.

Qi Ji also spent some time playing with his Jolly Ball in the den, as well as the life-saver that was just outside the den door!
