DAY 26 of 30 in my new series "30 Eighties Metal Riffs In 30 Days"

In 1989 the band Skid Row released their debut album on Atlantic Records. Several huge hits propelled the band on to major success including "18 and Life", "I Remember You" and "Youth Gone Wild." But buried in the album were some pretty heavy songs like "Midnight" and the subject of today's lesson "Here I Am."

Guitarists Scotti Hill and Dave "Snake" Sabo make a great guitar team and this riff is a good example. Of course the whole song brings with it the attitude and lyrical approach by former vocalist Sebastian Bach!
