How to Stretch After Total Knee Replacement Surgery
It's extremely important to know how to stretch after total knee replacement surgery in order to get all of benefits out of your new knee.
You had your Total Knee Replacement for a reason for one or both of these reasons:
1) to get rid of pain
2) to get back to being active
And stretching after total knee replacement surgery is the number one way to get the best results out of your surgery. Your first order of business as you're recovering is to improve mobility after knee replacement.
Range of motion exercises for knee replacement can start as soon as you're able - that means Day 1 after surgery.
And not only do stretching exercises help with range of motion , they help with pain after total knee replacement.
One of the stretches or exercises to do right after total knee replacement is knee flexion and that's what we're reviewing in this video.
Because it's important that you perform your stretches properly I want you to follow the advice in this video to make sure you don't develop movement compensations. These limit your recovery and put strain on other muscles that can cause pain and damage to joints.
