How to Build the ESSENTIAL Jig: A Cross-Cut Sled

In this video, I provide detailed DIY instructions on how to build a cross cut sled. If you don't have one of these sleds for your table saw, you need to watch this video.

The entire build can be completed in one afternoon, and the jig will drastically improve both the efficiency and the safety of your workshop. The sled is made out of a few bucks worth of 3/4" plywood, and the only tools needed to build it are the table saw, a framers square, and a bandsaw or a jigsaw.

The free sketchup model designed by Jeremy Schmidt can be found here: http://jerswoodshop.com/general-purpose-crosscut-sled/. He also has a build video that describes how to make the sled, which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPYkImHs9mM
