DIY TV Console with Hidden Gaming System
Unlock your OCD potential with this console bookshelf. Hide your playstation, xbox, or cable box for an ultra crisp living room. No wires visible anywhere!
DETAILED PLANS for sale HERE: https://etsy.me/3uZHey1
I designed and built this console bookshelf to hide a playstation 4 and a cable box while displaying a few of my favorite books and pictures. The design can be easily adapted to hold a PS5, xbox, smart home devices, etc. The entire bookshelf is made of solid walnut, with a few brass screws for the back panel. I was able to resaw off 1/4" of stock to glue up a back panel, while preserving 9/16" for the top, sides, and shelves. The main carcass joint is a mitered through dovetail.
This build requires both hand and power tools, and the build took me approximately 12 hours over the course of two weekends.
Everything is finished with several coats of Arm-R-Seal wipe on polyurethane.
