Super Simple Jig for Perfect Splines

In this video, I show how to make a super quick, super simple jig to cut perfect splines in picture frames or mitered box corners. These splines add a lot of strength to an otherwise very weak joint, and can also be cut from a different colored wood to serve as an aesthetic accent.

I made this jig entirely out scrap 3/4 inch plywood, glue, brad nails, and screws. At the end of this video I demonstrate how to cut and add splines to a simple picture frame.

I got the idea for this jig from Make Something, and here is a link to the video that inspired me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23wMCOLPX58. I make only slight modifications from his design.
