Perrottet: ‘Bigotry’ over Catholic faith ‘reflects poorly on those who espouse it’
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says some of the “bigotry” which has been seen over his Catholic faith “reflects poorly on those who espouse it”.
Discussing the recent focus on the fact he is a Catholic with six children, Mr Perrottet told Sky News host Alan Jones he is “not concerned” by it.
“I don’t see what the big deal is to be frank,” he said.
“My Catholic faith is incredibly important to me, it’s private.
“We have a great state, it’s diverse, many cultures, many faiths, and I think that’s what makes our state and nation the wonderful place that it is.”
