The US Republicans have nominated their second candidate in a week to run for House Speaker.
Jim Jordan was chosen as the Republican nominee in a closed-door vote.
The vote follows Steve Scalise, the first Republican nominee, dropping out of the race after 36 hours.
The US House of Representatives is on its 10th day without a speaker.
Congress is scrambling to fill the position to avoid a possible shutdown at the end of the month.
