Bushfire warning for Tara has been downgraded to a ‘watch and act’
Firefighters have spent the night battling blazes across Queensland.
Dozens of properties in Tara were destroyed by flames that were unable to be saved.
The emergency warning for the area has finally been downgraded to a ‘watch and act’.
Weather conditions were favourable overnight which allowed firefighters to conduct tactical backburns.
More than 40 homes have been lost and that number is expected to rise in the coming days.
