What to Do When You Can’t Trust Someone

You can’t control whether someone is trustworthy. But you can build the kind of self-trust and inner strength that helps you weather what happens next.

There’s a quiet kind of confidence in knowing that if someone lets you down, it doesn’t mean something is wrong with you. It means they weren’t capable of showing up in the way you deserved. And while that might hurt, it won’t undo you. Let them be who they are. You keep becoming who you want to be.

From the March 31st episode of Being Well, Linking: The Secret to Soothing Painful Memories. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy4JfH0rTPM&t=4s
