It took 26 months after the Netflix Original animated anthology series debuted in March 2019 to finally enjoy the second season. To speed things up, the streamer has reduced the second and third episode count from 18 to 8. The early Season 3 renewal was not at all surprising: Love, Death & Robots has become an instant hit since its 2019 premiere. The series boasts an impressive viewer approval score of 8.5 out of 10 on IMDb and won five Primetime Emmy Awards. Season 1 was truly groundbreaking as it pushed the boundaries of animated storytelling and showed viewers how high-quality, thought-provoking and beautiful adult animation can be. When creator Tim Miller and executive producer, a renowned film director David Fincher, pitched the idea to Netflix, the streaming company took a risk of moving into a new territory.
