THE FLASH Season 8 Release Set for November 2021: Who Will Be the New Villain?

Hey, guys! Just as Netflix releases the seventh season of The Flash a week after it wrapped up on The CW on July 20, we are happy to confirm the renewal of The Flash for Season 8. The Season 8 renewal came in February, one month BEFORE the seventh season even premiered. The CW has so much confidence in the superhero drama series that it decided not to wait for the viewership numbers to make a decision on the show’s future and to also give the creative team enough time to cook up an exciting Season 8. Well, the viewership numbers for Season 7 were less than satisfactory, dropping by nearly 35%!! Does that mean viewers are losing interest in the show? Even the Rotten Tomatoes approval rating dropped to 63%. It’s very possible that the upcoming Season 8 of The Flash, the premiere of which is already scheduled for November 16, might become the final season. The Netflix release date for Season 8 is expected in early Summer 2022. The seventh season ended with a huge and beautiful fight between Flash, Reverse-Flash and Godspeed, and was followed by a lot of love – Barry and Iris’ vow renewal. With no major cliffhangers, it’s hard to predict what’s in store for Season 8, but showrunner Eric Wallace definitely promised new villains.
