RUSSIAN DOLL Season 3: What New Time-Bending Storyline Natasha Lyonne’s Nadia Will Have?

Hey, guys! After a THREE-year wait, we finally got to enjoy Season 2 of Russian Doll. While Netflix is yet to reveal the fate of Season 3, we hope Russian Doll gets renewed and we get to watch another surreal odyssey. We were worried that after a time-loop first season, creators Amy Poehler and Natasha Lyonne (who is also the lead actress) will continue to massage the old concept, but they found a new angle. If Season 1 was reminiscent of Groundhog Day, Season 2 was more like the Quantum Leap and Back to the Future mix. Surely, Russian Doll’s quirks are not for everyone, but it’s still a spectacular series: from the script and aesthetics, to the fantastic range of characters and dark humor. It is original, creative, unique, philosophical even. Special praise goes to Natasha Lyonne for her brilliant portrayal of Nadia: full of swagger, charisma and wit. This is definitely her best role, and we hope she gets an Emmy Award for it. After the first season, Russian Doll has banked 6 award wins, including 3 Emmys, and 48 nominations. At the end of Season 2, Nadia seems to have broken time, having returned from the past with her baby self. She eventually gave the baby back to her mother and got a sense of closure about their relationship. By righting the events of time, she was able to be with Ruth in her final moments. Season 2 had a definitive ending, but we hope Netflix renews Russian Doll for Season 3 and creators take us on another weird, time-bending ride.
