FIREFLY LANE Season 2 Set for 2022. Is Sarah Chalke’s Kate Done with Katherine Heigl’s Tully & WHY?

Hey, guys! Great news for Katherine Heigl and Sarah Chalke fans as Netflix officially announces the renewal of Firefly Lane for Season 2! Season 2 is slated to premiere some time in spring 2022. Firefly Lane is based on the same-name novel by American writer Kristin Hannah, and while the series diverges strongly from the book, at the end of Season 1 many storylines come to agreement. The biggest question for Season 2 is what happened between Tully and Kate that caused such a rift, which forced Kate to say at her dad’s funeral that she’ll never forgive Tully for what she did. Taking a hint from the novel, the falling out could be the result of Tully inviting Kate to her TV show The Girlfriend Hour only to ambush her as the topic was “overprotective mothers and the teenage daughters who hate them.” Another possible reason has to do with Johnny’s fate. In the novel, too, he and his team get hit by an IED in Iraq. While the Season 1 finale leaves his fate unknown, in the book, Kate and Tully travel to Germany to visit Johnny. To further her TV career, Tully ignores Kate’s wishes and sneaks a camera operator into Johnny’s room for a live broadcast. We’ll have to wait for Season 2 of Firefly Lane to learn the real reason for Kate and Tully’s feud. Guys, share your ideas in the comments with us.
