SHOP WITH YOUTUBE RESELLERS! | FIVE-CHANNEL MEETUP

Whether online or real world, the antique and vintage community are so much fun because people of like minds and interests share the love! Gathering YouTube resellers from five different channels at Kentucky’s Cadiz Antique Mall reflects the wonderful time people in the collecting world can share, and this video is the result.

We had such a great time, and we start outside with a meta event where we all film each other and the street scene of Cadiz, a cool turn-of-the-century lakeside town that’s become an antique destination! Everyone was so genuine, just like they seem on YouTube. I got to share my passion for this old stuff with @Real Nifty Vintage , @Thrifter, Junker, Vintage Hunter , @Fat Bird Finds , and Trusty Huckster Mercantile.

But once inside the mall, we all scattered (social distancing, you know) and got down to business, hunting for bargains, customer requests and our own collections…and in my case, fun things for show-and-tell. We all saw this mall through different eyes (watch their videos for the fun contrast!).

In my view, we see a fun window display that brought an old pump and laundry tub to life as a water feature; spaces filled with Aladdin lamps and vintage religious icons; and a room-like display with 1930s mohair furniture (did you know that comes from Angora goats?). The mall occupies three floors of a 1910s hotel, with individual rooms filled with fun finds and some good sale booths for resellers.

Faux fireplaces with hidden features, pie safes and skeletons occupying unusual old items were among the curiosities on display. Some super smalls from a Haeger horse to a Camark mini pitcher end up at the counter, and all of us ended up happy with purchases to go.

Collectors reference books, fireplace hi-fi and bar set, waterfall furniture, golden era G.A.R. postcards, remote control tugboat, political ephemera, flash-vue Jesus clock, smoker, Breyer horses, Donkey Party game, Wonder Horse, pie safes, phone booth, pump organ, 1950s sofa, rhinestone eyed cat family, Coke clock, Gulf station sign, Fiesta Lilac, ice cream parlor items, red ware tab bowl, etc.
