Tesla Terafactory Texas Update #135 in 4K: Paint Shop & Casting Area Walls - 04/06/21 (5:00pm | 81°)

Hey everyone, it’s Randy! Today’s footage shows another busy and windy day, but most importantly, we see that work installing wall panels or sheathing in place on both the paint shop and casting areas has begun.

Here are today’s key takeaways:
- On the north end of the paint shop, wall sheathing installation has started and all of the green and white stacks of materials are of the USG Securock Glass-Mat Sheathing family of products. I’ll leave a link in the description with more info on it.
- A little further east in this northeast corner, the GigaPress area is now having wall panels installed on the far east side of the building.
- The south end shows the progress of the storm water system on the east side, which has now made it into the southern portion of the BIW area. Up on the roof we see that most of the roof concrete is covered except along the eastern and angled edges of the roof. The sloped roof transition framing has just about reached the western edge.
- The west side, rumored to be the general assembly area, is now expanding to the south.
- The northern end of the BIW area is having concrete finished on the second level and the ground level has rebar in place along this entire long section where we saw the line being built over the past month or so. We’ll most likely see concrete being poured here in the next day or two.
- The south end of the paint shop shows more metal wall studs being placed on the south facing wall and the wall of metal studs we saw yesterday between the paint shop and the GA building has tripled in length as you can see at the far left of the image as it works its way back into the building.
- The northwest corner is still awaiting the green light for crews to start assembling the structural steel that is growing in quantity with each passing day.
- The electrical substation now has even more lines that have been added compared to what we saw yesterday.
- Lastly, I take a look at the active clearing that is east of the large parking lot area for the workers. More clearing equipment is still being delivered to the site so it’s looking like this area is now a priority and is on the clock.
