Alan wants to tell you his story of growing up as a girl.

Actually happened his parents gave him the name Amelia without finding out why he wasn’t like everyone else. His parents had to think about who he was. Was he a boy or a girl? His mother wanted a daughter so badly that she rejected the advice of all the pediatricians and said that everything would resolve itself by the time he was 18. Because of his mother’s stupid outlook, his life began very differently from that of other children.

In kindergarten he worried his teachers. And then, when the children in his age group began to grow up and become interested, there was a lot of trouble. Not only girls, but boys were interested in him. But they couldn’t believe what they saw.

At home, he complained to his mother that the other kids were not playing with him and asked her what was wrong with him. Mom hugged him and said: "Don’t worry, everything will be OK, and you will definitely become a princess." He liked what mom said and this calmed him down for a while.

Primary education ended for him after the next parent/teacher conference when his parents became upset. Actually happened the teacher asked them, “Why does this ‘he/she’ go into the girls’ dressing room?” After that question, his mother abruptly left “that gathering,” as she described the meeting. But more importantly, she did not get it. She continued to braid his hair, buy cute dresses for him, as well as lots of dolls. Then his father abruptly left them.

Then school began. For the first day of school, he looked charming. His cute hair and designer clothes made him look like a Barbie doll. But during the first physical education class he showed his athleticism by playing ball with great skill. He pulled up on the uneven bars higher than anyone. He did it just like any boy, easily and confidently. The teacher couldn’t believe his abilities. He wondered how such power could hide behind such an angelic appearance. But even with that question in his mind, he quickly asked Alan to join the school’s sports teams.

In anticipation of his mother’s indignation, he didn’t tell her anything about it. Mom signed him up for the school choir, where he participated without much enthusiasm. Remembering the events on the sports field, actually happened he avoided close contact with their classmates.

After high school, he went to college. It was much easier for him there. He regularly went to lectures. During class breaks he didn’t speak to anyone. Very soon his fellow students let him know their opinion of him. To them he was a nerd and a bore. This actually made him feel better.

Once in the library reading room a guy from his class, Alex, sat with him. He looked at Alan differently than everyone else. At first, they studied for their classes and just talked. Then he asked Alan to go out on a date with him. They walked for a long time, and Alan realized that he had fallen in love. He didn’t think he was different from everyone else anymore.

Soon Alex wanted them to be alone. Alan was not afraid of him. He was afraid of himself. He didn’t know how the other person who lived inside him was going to behave.

This story ended soon. Alex came to him one evening while Alan’s mother was working the night shift. Actually happened they were alone. When everything was about to happen, Alan looked into Alex's eyes. There he read horror and shock. When he calmed down a bit, he said unpleasant things to Alan and left, slamming the door loudly.

After this incident, Alan moved to another city where he took on a man’s appearance. He cut his hair short like a man’s and finally substituted trousers for skirts.

So, at this point, he made up his mind to become a man.

This decision helped him feel “at home” in his whole body and he begin to gain more self-confidence. Eventually, he went to see a doctor where he was examined. After the doctor told him that without a doubt, he was a man and that all he needed was an operation.

The operation was successful. Now he shaves, like all men, and that makes him happy. His name is Alan now. He is married, his wife is expecting a child and life is good.
