Leak detection for transport pipelines – the Nautilus System - Ana Cozar Bernal

Any entity in charge of managing water supply networks is aware of and faces in its management the problems involved in detecting and locating leaks and anomalies in this type of large diameter pipelines.
The most widespread technique for detecting leaks in water networks is the auscultation of the pipelines from the surface. The problem arises in large diameter networks where different factors prevent leaks and anomalies from being detected from the outside: depth at which the pipe is buried, the material in which it is manufactured, its large diameter or the exact lack of knowledge of its route that prevents its monitoring from the outside.
As a company specialized in leak detection, AGANOVA, in 2016 faced the challenge of developing a system to solve this problem, and, in this way, provide the water sector with a solution capable of reducing losses of water in large diameter pipeline networks: the Nautilus System.
With the Nautilus System, Aganova wants to provide the market with an inline tool for pipeline inspection with a recurring use model that contributes substantially to the reduction of non-revenue water in the world.
