Low ILIs in systems: experience in implementing UARL System Correction Factors - Kate Stanton-Davies

This session briefly reviews the combined influences of FAVAD, burst probability characteristics and pressure:bursts relationships in calculating how a System Correction Factor for UARL varies with system size and pressure for small systems, zones or DMAs.

This presentation will use recent case studies and feedback to show how large Utilities in Europe, Canada and Australia are using UARL with SCF in both small lower pressure systems, and also in systems with very high pressures, to customise their targets for zones and DMAs. The multiple influences of pressure are more influential than previously assumed.
