Lots of jobs around the farm

Started off driving to the farm yard on my Honda quad. I then moved the Blackface sheep into the next field using Swift the border collie. One of the ewes was refusing to move so I had to put her in the trailer and take her to the filed in that!

It was then onto packing all the eggs that we get each day. Most of them are layed in the morning. So that kept me busy for a few hours. A quick walk around the hen shed after to check the birds and look for any eggs in the wrong places.

I got the Manitou and the spike attachment and got some bales of silage. I then took them to the cows that are calving at the moment.

Back to the yard and I got the Manitou bucket on and started loading the tractor and trailer to do some more work on the drive-thru at the hen shed. The back door of the trailer book off while I was doing it. After I got a few loads it was spread out and I then rolled it. I think that’s it pretty much done and ready for heavy machines to go over it.

I was then on the Suzuki quad to do some feeding - this involved filling up the lamb feeders and then the calve feeder. I then went to a different field to feed some of the cows that have got the older calves.

The last thing I did at the end of the day was move a group of sheep into a field that has more grass. I used Swift again for this and then finished up for the day!
