How we use the lambing pens

I woke up to more snow this morning! I started off feeding all the individual pens and then ran out of feed and had to go and get some more with the quad and trailer. I then moved onto feeding the bigger pens.

Some of the ewes and lambs that had been in individual pens for a day or two needed moved into one of the bigger pens. The first ewe and her twin lambs were easy…the second ewe wouldn’t follow her lambs so I moved the two lambs first and then went back to move her…the last ewe followed her twin lambs like a dream.

I then fed all the cows and calves and moved onto bedding the sheep shed. The Polaris ranger had not been cleaned for a while so I pressure washed all the mud off it. I doubt it will stay that was for long!

I finished up at the end of the day bedding all the cow sheds.
