More sheep and onto the silage

A misty start to the day today, which always makes it harder to find the animals! Swift the border collie came with me today. I started off by getting the handling shed and gates setup to get more sheep in for treatments. We tried to see through the mist to find all the sheep and lambs in the field. Swift did a good job of rounding them up. We eventually got them back to the yard for doing more worming, fly strike prevention and sorting out any with bad feet.

We got most of them done before lunch. A shot of the Fendt tractor all setup and ready for the first cut of silage. Back to the house for lunch and to out the fire on (its a cold summer day here in Scotland today)! Back to the farm after lunch and the Fendt is in action cutting the silage. We finished the sheep and moved them back out to the field.

There was a fence that was needing fixed so I loaded the fencing stuff into the Polaris Ranger and got started. Some of the sheep have been escaping out of here. I started adding wooden slats and ran out so went back to the yard to get more. I finished the fence so that should now hopefully keep them in!

The bale wrapper is going to be used soon so I greased it all so that it is ready.

Some drone footage of the silage being cut on the other farm. The Class chopper was loaded up the trailers being pulled by the Fendt 828, Fendt 415, and the McCormick

The Fendt 718 was doing rowing up of the silage.

Thanks for watching!
