Apple Pie With Vanilla Sauce

The special sauce is easy to make with left over pie filling.

Here's the recipe for the sauce:

Left over pie filling (about one cup)
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Cook on medium low heat in sauce pan until apples are tender ( about fifteen minutes)
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Place hot mixture in blender and blend until smooth
Serve over ice Cream that was placed on top of a slice of apple pie
