Mississippi Pot Roast
Mississippi Pot Roast is the most flavorful pot roast recipe you will ever try! Today I’m featuring a Dry Aged Chuck Roast which bumps up the rich taste even more. This recipe cooks all day in the crock pot, low and slow, for an incredible dinner with minimal effort!

MISSISSIPPI POT ROAST
3 lb. pot roast
1 package Brown Gravy
1 package Ranch Seasoning
~OR~
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. onion powder
½ tsp. dried dill
pinch of salt and pepper
1 stick of butter*
10-12 pepperoncini peppers
¼ c. pepperoncini juice
*I have also made this with ½ stick of butter and ½ cup of water, which resulted in a more gravy-like sauce. This recipe makes more of an au jus consistency. Choose what sounds good to you! You can even add a Tbsp. of cornstarch mixed with ¼ c. of water to thicken the juices even more after the roast has cooked.
Spray slow cooker with baking spray. Place the roast fat side up into the pot. Sprinkle with brown gravy, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, salt and pepper. Place the stick of butter on top. Scatter the peppers around the pot and pour the pepperoncini juice all over the top. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours (the longer, the better!) Slice and serve—the juices taste amazing over mashed potatoes! ENJOY!
