X58 Overclocking for FUN: Intel i7 930 Overclocked to 5.4GHz+ on LN2 - Super PI 32M Record

These results were done during the last days of May of this year (2022). I still had some leftover LN2 from our event in Espoo, huge thanks to Aalto University and Peter for supplying us the LN2 and the space for the event.

As I wanted to sort some of the old CPUs I still had, I decided to go for a potentially good 930 I found some time ago, after I did extensive testing on the Core i7 Extreme 975 with multiple motherboard models. I will make a separate video of my findings and experiences with the 975 later.

The CPU was quite tricky as it could run Super PI 32M at higher clock speed than WPrime and Pifast, and that was the only test where I could take the top score down. So I got the rank #1 score in 32M twice, and a pretty solid rank #2 score in Pifast. So I still need a better CPU if I want to take Pifast and Super PI 1M down. 32M was done at 5.31-5.35GHz and Pifast up to 5.42GHz.
